My illustration goals can be summed up in just three words: "Draw every day." These words became the foundation of Robot Friday and a guiding principle in my creative journey.

Drawing had been a constant in my life since childhood, but as I built a semi-unrewarding career in graphic design, I found myself neglecting it entirely. The more my passion for design faded, the more I searched for a creative outlet that felt fulfilling.
Years earlier, I had created one of the internet's first motion comics, gaining a modest readership. But as technology advanced, my design career became more demanding, and the web comics community grew increasingly toxic, I stepped away from comics. Despite this, my love for the medium never disappeared. Eventually, frustration with my graphic design career reignited my desire to create comics, both as a creative escape and a way to vent about the challenges of my profession.
I spent a full year developing Robot Friday before ever posting a strip online. Part of that time was dedicated to learning web design to build a proper hosting platform, but the bigger challenge was rediscovering my artistic skills. As I began drawing strips, I quickly realized just how rusty I had become - crafting a comic strip was far more difficult than I had remembered. Not only did I need to refine the characters' designs, but I also had to define who they were at their core.

That's when my "Draw every day" mantra was born. It pushed me to improve, to experiment, and to commit to the craft. And to this day, it remains one of the most valuable lessons I've ever learned.
